All "Lid" Up!

So..I admit it. I am OBSESSED with candles and I buy them constantly and with that it leaves me with one BIG dilemma. What do I do with ALL of the jars and lids? Well, I can't toss them. I keep everything in hopes to see a cool, future project. I shall show you some fun and quirky ideas to turn these lids that people would call "junky" and toss but I call "funky" and keep. After these upcycled little gems,  I sure hope I have changed your vision of what these lids can be! (WINK)
This little pink lady sits pretty while holding onto precious rings and things! Stash one next to the sink or next to your bed to put your rings in while cleaning or sleeping. These cuties are also awesome for catching keys by front doors!
Penny for your thoughts? "Change" things up a bit and let something like this catch your loose loot on your nightstand, dryer or in a walk in closet!
Need a paper weight with a purpose?  I've got one! This denim and blue cutie can hold all kinds of office goodies like paper clips, tacks and brads! I ADORE organization with a bit of cute, shabby style and it would be a great little addition to any desk or work space!
These lids are ideal for candle holders for ANY occasion! The possibilties are SO endless! You can add these to holiday mantles or throw them into your wedding or party decor for instant glam on a dime!

Step It Up!

Small space? No problem! Step stools are the funnest and most creative way to add decor! This gem now is one of my main vignettes for each holiday and I love the "staggered" look! If you live in a small space, look into nabbing an old step stool on your next flea market hunt. It is now one of my biggest conversation pieces in my house.

Frame-WORTHY!

Here's a little something I made for my new, great niece's nursery out of some plain white canvas Stampin' Up accordion frames. Her gorgeous face will grace these dressed up cuties quite beautifully.
This old frame received a new or "shabbied" paint job and got alll dressed up so it can play as a catch all for a few of your favorite summer pics, recipes or whatever you'd love to see. I love adding clothes pins to projects because not only are cheap, they're SO cute and functional! I added some cute polka dot and star washi tape (found at the dollar store, so always keep an eye out) and that really made them pop!
I LOVE to frame the unexpected and these were just laying around the house so I got out the old paint and shabbied up these frames, found this old "God Bless America" sheet music from my mom's old concert choir days and just had to add a bit of old glory so I framed the flag! Cost? NOTHING! I seriously just use what I discover that has been lying around for years and I suggest you do the same! I always have a bottle of crackle finish to shabby up cheap old frames and an assortment of acrylic paints. They "dress" up almost anything! Yay ' Murica!
